FROM CALGARY TO LA CRETE.

Power Wood Canada Corp’s first black biofuel pellet production facility will be located near La Crete in Mackenzie County, in the province of Alberta, Canada.

Sixty-five acres of land beside its main highway, and close to La Crete, have been fully prepared for the installation of Valmet’s BioTrac steam explosion and pelletization facility in March 2026. The site is close to forestry assets. This first production facility is expected to be fully operational by the fourth quarter of 2026 and capable of producing 350,000 tons of black pellets per year.

Power Wood’s second black biofuel pellet production facility will be located near the town of High Level in Mackenzie County – 90km North West of La Crete.

A further 160 acres of land have been secured here and will soon be prepared for another Valmet BioTrac plant in March 2027. The site is also close to forestry assets and this second production facility is expected to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2027 and capable of producing 350,000 tons of black pellets per year.

Power Wood’s commercial test plant facility is located on the Gebeng industrial area - just 7km from the city of Kuantan's industrial port in Pahang, Malaysia.

This 22 acre site houses a Valmet BioTrac steam explosion biofuel production facility capable of producing 75,000 tons of black pellets per year. Its primary purpose is to assess the quality of Power Wood's black pellet and briquette products. After testing, offtake is shuttled to Kuantan Port where it is shipped across the South China Sea to Japanese industrial gateways in Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe and Sendai for Japanese customers, and Korean ports in Busan Newport and Pyeongtaek.

As such, much of Power Wood’s business is done at CoAlternative’s head office located at Maitland House, Warrior Square in Southend’s business district.
