In pressurized hydrothermal conditions, five-carbon sugar Xylose is catalyzed by plant acids into organic furfural - a usable stable compound and base for numerous derivative bio-based chemicals.

As furan and furfuryl ethers, our furfural is good enough for advanced jet fuels. Hydrogenated into polycaprolactam and hexamethylenediamine, it becomes a precursor for durable Nylons found in clothes, carpets, upholstery, insulations, seals and circuit breakers.

As furfuryl alcohol, it creates heat-resistant resins, reinforced plastics and imperishable wood products – predominantly for the automotive sector.
